How to setup a voicemail for each user

You must be an Admin user to change or update the other users voicemail settings within your account. 
  • Log in to your RingByName account at login.ringbyname.com
  • Once logged in, click on the words 'Hi ' at the top right of the screen. A drop down menu should appear. 
  • Select the option 'Go To System Administration' 
  • Select 'RingByName Setup' at the top. 
  • Select 'Users' on the left hand side. 
  • Select the user whose voicemail you want to edit. 
  • On the far right, you'll see all the fields you can edit including the "Voicemail options".
  • Be sure to select 'Save' on the bottom right to complete your changes!


How to Setup Voicemail for Each Department


Admin users can also update or change the department voicemail settings. Departments are groups of users that can ring simultaneously or in a particular order to meet your business needs.

- Log in to your RingByName account at login.ringbyname.com
- Once logged in, click on the words 'Hi ' at the top right of the screen. A drop down menu should appear.
- Select the option 'Go To System Administration'
- Select 'RingByName Setup' at the top.
- Select 'Departments' on the left hand side.
- Select the department whose voicemail you want to edit.
- On the far right, you'll see all the fields you can edit including the "Voicemail options".
- Be sure to select 'Save' on the bottom right to complete your changes!

You can further control which users in a department receive these voicemail to email notifications. Follow these steps to adjust which users in a department will receive these notifications.

- Log in to your RingByName account at login.ringbyname.com
- Once logged in, click on the words 'Hi ' at the top right of the screen. A drop down menu should appear.
- Select the option 'Go To System Administration'
- Select 'RingByName Setup' at the top.
- Select 'Departments' on the left hand side.
- Select the department whose voicemail you want to edit.
- On the far right, you'll see all the fields you can edit.
- Under 'How should we distribute calls for this department,' select 'Advanced Settings'
- Select the 'Voicemail Notification' checkbox for any users receiving them and select 'Save.'
- Be sure to select 'Save' on the bottom right to complete your changes!
